About

Christian Jil Benitez is a poet, translator, and scholar from the Philippines. He teaches at the Department of Filipino, ADMU, where he obtained his AB-MA in literature. He is currently pursuing his PhD in comparative literature at Chulalongkorn University. His first book, Isang Dalumat ng Panahon (ADMU Press, 2022), received the Philippine National Book Award for literary criticism and cultural studies. His translation of Arasahas: Poems from the Tropics is forthcoming from PAWA, Inc. and Paloma Press.
